EXISTENCE OF POSITIVE PSEUDO-SYMMETRIC SOLUTIONS FOR ONE-DIMENSIONAL p-LAPLACIAN BOUNDARY-VALUE PROBLEMS
We prove the existence of positive pseudo-symmetric solutions for four-point boundary-value problems with p-Laplacian. Also we present an monotone iterative scheme for approximating the solution. The interesting point here is that the nonlinear term f involves the first-order derivative.

متن کاملEXISTENCE RESULTS FOR POSITIVE SOLUTIONS OF NON-HOMOGENEOUS BVPS FOR SECOND ORDER DIFFERENCE EQUATIONS WITH ONE-DIMENSIONAL p-LAPLACIAN
Motivated by [Science in China (Ser. A Mathematics) 36 (2006), no. 7, 721–732], this article deals with the following discrete type BVP ∆[φ(∆x(n))] + f(n, x(n + 1), ∆x(n), ∆x(n + 1)) = 0, n ∈ [0, N ], x(0)−mi=1 αix(ni) = A, x(N + 2)−mi=1 βix(ni) = B. The sufficient conditions to guarantee the existence of at least three positive solutions of the above multi-point boundary value problem ...
متن کاملExistence of triple positive solutions for multi-point boundary value problems with a one dimensional p-Laplacian
This paper deals with the existence of triple positive solutions of two classes of quasi-linear multi-point boundary value problem with P-Laplacian operator. We establish several conditions on this equation and then by using a fixed point theorem of cone, we prove the existence of at least three positive solutions. At the end of this paper, some example are mentioned. AMS Subject Classification...
متن کاملThe Existence of Three Positive Solutions to Integral Type BVPs for Second ODEs with One-dimensional p-Laplacian
This paper is concerned with the integral type boundary value problems of the second order differential equations with one-dimensional p-Laplacian [ρ(t)Φ(x′(t))]′ + f(t, x(t), x′(t)) = 0, t ∈ (0, 1), φ1(x(0)) = ∫ 1 0 g(s)φ1(x(s))ds, φ2(x ′(1)) = ∫ 1 0 h(s)φ2(x ′(s))ds. Sufficient conditions to guarantee the existence of at least three positive solutions of this BVP are established. An exampl...
